Beginner Mountain Biking Rides - The easiest riding for beginners is on the <br />
roads in the area - Old Farm Road, 4-H Road, Harvey Road, and 13th Lake <br />
Road. The Old Faithful Trail connects the 4-H Rd. and Harvey Rd and makes <br />
a nice beginner loop.<br />

Intermediate bike rides are found on Trapper, Cougar, and Sugarhouse <br />
Trails. These trails also lead to Mt. View Trail, Apple Way and The North <br />
Acres Farm. There are great mountain views here and you can see the new <br />
llamas at the farm.<br />

Expert riders can test their skills on Matt & Jeff, Solitude, Bobcat, Duffany's, <br />
and the single-track trails. Get a copy of the Mt. Bike Guide, and maps at <br />
the lodge or at the Adventure Center.
Garnet Hill is located in the Central Adirondacks, 2 hours drive from Albany, <br /><br />Utica, and Plattsburg, N.Y., and approximately 5 hours from New York City.<br /><br /><br /><br />Auto: From the South, Albany and NYC take I-87 to exit 23 at Warrensburg, <br /><br />then Rt. 9 to Rt. 28 to North River. Northern travelers can exit I-87 at <br /><br />Pottersville, exit 26. From here follow signs to Gore Mt. and North Creek. <br /><br />Garnet Hill Lodge is located off Rt. 28 in North River left on Thirteenth Lake <br /><br />Road, 5 miles.<br /><br /><br /><br />Bus: Adirondack Trailways to Warrensburg.<br /><br /><br /><br />Train: Amtrak service to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Saratoga North Creek <br /><br />Railway - Saratoga to North Creek 877-726-7245. Free Shuttle to and from <br /><br />Lodge.
